Understanding prayer times in Cairo
The timetable is calculated for central Cairo using the Egyptian method. Times follow Africa/Cairo, including daylight-saving transitions recorded in the time-zone database. Outlying districts may differ from the city centre; consult a local timetable when you need the schedule of a particular mosque.
Sunrise is not an obligatory prayer. The mosque sets iqamah, which may follow adhan. The main app lets you change calculation method, Asr convention and location settings.
