Location and local preferences

Salati does not require a user account. City, coordinates, prayer settings, minute adjustments, Quran bookmark and alarm schedules are stored on your device. Foreground location permission supports prayer times and Qibla. The app does not request background location, microphone or contacts permissions. Time zone and compass processing run locally.

External services

Coordinates and calculation settings are sent to AlAdhan for prayer-calendar updates. Providers receive connection information such as your IP address. Saved calendars or local calculations are used offline. Requested Quran recitations stream from EveryAyah, MP3Quran, Internet Archive and Tarteel, which receive connection information necessary to deliver audio. Recitation with verse tracking requires an internet connection. Quran text and adhan recordings are bundled in the Android app; the website downloads files from its host and caches supported content locally. The website host may receive IP addresses and request information needed to deliver its files.

Verse timings are derived from Quranic Universal Audio — Wider Community, CC BY 4.0; regrouped by surah with repetitions retained. Recordings remain the property of their reciters and original sources.

Advertising

The ad-supported Android edition uses Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google may collect and share IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device and advertising identifiers, product interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Salati does not attach GPS coordinates, prayer names, reciter names or custom religious data to ad requests. A banner is limited to the prayer-times screen and hidden on devotional/settings screens, during audio and in the background. The website does not include the Android advertising SDK. Your choices

Google UMP manages privacy choices when required by region and publisher configuration. When Google requires an entry point to revisit choices, “Ad privacy choices” appears in Privacy & help. Android settings also provide advertising-ID controls. Declining personalized ads does not necessarily prevent processing required for service delivery or fraud prevention.

Permissions and deletion

Notification and exact-alarm permissions support scheduled adhan. Silent-mode adhan temporarily adjusts alarm volume, restoring it after playback unless you change it yourself. It does not change ringer mode or bypass Do Not Disturb. Compass sensor data is not sent to a server by Salati. Clear Android app data or browser site data to remove local preferences, calendar, bookmarks and caches; bundled app files remain until uninstalling. There is no Salati account to delete. External services retain their data under their own policies; we do not set their retention periods. Service connections use HTTPS where supported. Contact the email above for privacy inquiries.
